The new C13 chain is a vital element of the Ekar GT mechanical groupset; along with providing efficient transmission, in gravel riding the chain must work perfectly to help smooth quick shifting, always guaranteeing maximum security. It must also be strong and durable and the Ekar GT C13 chain delivers impressively on all fronts. The C13 chain partners effectively with the special profile tooth design of the Ekar GT 1x13-speed crankset chainring and sprockets for safe, efficient, smooth transmission. Despite its narrow profile, the C13 chain is very strong. Its C60 steel inner links with nickel-Teflon surface treatment resist the greater wear and tear they are subjected to on gravel trails. The entire chain, produced in the Campagnolo facility in Vicenza, undergoes a special lubrication process with an ultrasonic bath system that guarantees the special lubricant formula coats all the links evenly and thoroughly. The result is efficient working and high resilience, guaranteeing durability even in tough off-road conditions and requiring less maintenance. The Ekar GT C13 chain comes with two fastening options: the classic Campagnolo pin or the new C-Link™ for even easier removal and cleaning. New Super Record 12 Speed chain: slim, robust, smooth and precise. The chain, in all its apparent simplicity, plays a critical role in the cyclist's safety and in optimizing the entire transmission mechanism. The new Super Record 12 Speed chain also had to be redesigned from scratch to work with all the other new transmission components. Therefore, the first and most important objective was reducing its overall dimensions. Its width is now 5.15 millimeters, thanks to the new pins which are perfectly aligned with the links’ outer surfaces. The second objective was safeguarding its performance. This was achieved thanks to the Ultra-link system that makes the chain safe and durable, and a special treatment that guarantees extreme smoothness and precision shifting.
